Little is known about Jo Dee's father, but here are some tidbits
He, for a short time, worked in a car factory
He was the high school football coach
He was the school superintendent
Sadly, Mary and Vincent divorced when Jo Dee was young, but Vincent kept in very close contact with his children.
Her Mother: Mary Messina
Jo Dee's mother has had great involvement in Jo Dee's life. Taking her to all her gigs as a teenager (aka The Jo Dee Messina Band)She now lives next door to Jo Dee and is her Fan Club President, I had the opportunity to meet Ms. Messina in Nashville, in June of 2001 and I talked with her for a little bit, she is soo sweet. I see where Jo Dee gets it from.
Her Brother: Vincent Messina
Vinnie, as he is usually called is the sibling Jo Dee was closest too. He older than Jo Dee, by at about 3 years. It has been told to me that he really enjoys football and hockey. Vinnie was also in Jo Dee's first band. I got to meet Vinnie also in Nashville, he like Jo Dee is a really sweet person Vinnie is named after his father Vincent Messina.
Her Sister: Marianne Messina
Marianne is the oldest. It has been told to me that Marianne also has a beautiful voice and was involved in choir in High School. Marianne was also in Jo Dee's first band. During High School Marianne was also in band. Marianne is named after her mother; Mary.
Her Sister: Therese Messina
Therese: I know very little about Terese. I know she had a paper route in high school and enjoyed art. I know she is about 15 years older then Jo Dee. Terese and Jo Dee are very close now days. Terese was named after her Aunt Theresa
Her Aunt: Auntie Therese
I also got to meet Jo Dee's Auntie Therese in Nashville, She had a very cute and upbeat personality.
