Jo's ring is so HUGE because the stone was actually drawn from a necklace

In a recent interview, Jo Dee says she was proposed to on a playground! “It was so romantic. I think he really played off the fact that I am an eternal child. He proposed to me at a playground in our city. And it was a jungle gym, shaped like a castle…I mean, you just have to see it! It was the most incredible playground…I mean there was nothing like that out when I was a kid. But yes, he proposed to me on a playground, it was so romantic and it so blew me away and he’s the most thoughtful, creative, wonderful man in the whole wide world and I think that’s our little secret!"

“I think every little girl dreams of having the ultimate wedding with the horse and carriage and the Rolls-Royce limousine like they used to have on Dynasty—do you remember that TV show? I want everything from the rice and the candles to the huge train and everything, so it’ll probably take a couple of years just to plan the wedding. I’m going to incorporate everything I dreamed of as a little kid!”

Romancing the Redhead
I can't really tell a whole lot about my fiancé proposing. I mean, I could tell you it took place at a playground, there were some candles, la la la la la, but he would kill me. He would kill me. He's like, 'Why do girls have to tell those stories?' And I'm like, 'Because they want to know if their boyfriend, like, can handle it.' And somebody said, 'Oh man, if I told somebody and they told, oh my goodness, my husband's in trouble.'

He's Alright

[My fiancé's] just the sweetest guy. He's so wonderful. He knows that I'm hardheaded, I'm stubborn, I'm committed to my job. And he knows how important things are to me . . . he really understands that, and he supports that. And he has two kids, so he'll be, like, hanging and playing with the kids, and I'll come downtown to [work].

The Not-So-Wicked Stepmother

A lot of people ask me about the whole stepmom thing. Nothing's going to change from today. Lord knows when [we'll get married]; we're enjoying a very long engagement. Because, technically, you'd have to take a day off to have a wedding, and we don't see that happening anytime soon. So, we want to just enjoy a long engagement and nothing's going to change between now and the day after the wedding, because his kids and me are friends. They're wonderful kids. They have a mom that loves them, and that they love very much. And I just want to be their friend -- and that's what I am.

The Country Queen and the Pop Princess
My fiancé's little girl -- she was bumming, because all her friends at school were like, 'We've got tickets to Britney Spears, we got tickets to Britney Spears.' I was like, 'Oh no.' What happened was, I knew when they were going on sale. I was on the road, but I was on the road with the promoter who was promoting Britney's show here in Nashville. So, I'm like, 'The day the tickets go on sale, can I please get some tickets. I'll pay for them. I'm not asking for any favors, I just want to get some tickets.' He [got] me tickets on the floor to see Britney Spears when she comes to town. And my manager called Britney's management and got four backstage passes. So, we're going for [my fiancé's daughter's] 10th birthday . . . I don't know who's more excited, me or her. I'll be like, 'OK, now it's my turn to get a picture with her.'
