My name is Amie. I'm 24 and live in Urbandale, Iowa a suburb of Des Moines. I am originally from the small town of Marshalltown in Central Iowa, USA. I am engaged to my boyfriend of 7 years, Adam. We are getting married June 17, 2006. We have two adorbale dogs named Desi, an Affenpinscher mix, and Laci, a pure bred Affenpinscher.
I keep a 55 gallon aquarium with a variety of warm water fish including: silver dollars, blue gouramis, plecostomus, black skirt tetras, mixed fruit tetras (I don't recommend these as they are dyed different colors and after time lose that color and look rather plain). I'd like to get another tank in the future, and put African Cichlids in it. I'd really like a tank over 100 gallons one day, but we don't have the room for that in the apartment we are living at now.
I work full time at a major retailer. It pays alright after a few years and I enjoy my department so I stay. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend working there. My fiancé, Adam has a 2 year AS in Computer Science. He currently works for Iowa Health Systems on computers.
I spend most of my free time surfing the internet, exercising, or watching TV/movies.
