This is a journal about my five month treatment on Accutane. I hope that it helps anyone who reads it, or at least gives them an idea of what it's like to be on this wonderful medication.
Now, my skin has never been extremely bad, but it had been enough of a nuisance to me for the last 11 years that I wanted to take Accutane and just be done with it! And actually, I am taking the new generic brand, Amnesteem. So, maybe this will help prove that there isn't a difference between the two (I HOPE!!!!). |
I've read a lot of other journals about Accutane, and have gotten a good idea of what to expect. I'm kinda worried, but I just started this week, and am expecting the best!
So far, my doctor has me on one 40mg dosage of Amnesteem on every odd day of the month, and two 40mg dosages on even days of the month. I am also on Alesse birth control, which I take with my Amnesteem every night. ( I take all the pills at one time) I also am using Cetaphil face wash morning and night, and the mosturizer as needed. Oh, and lots of lip stuff because I've heard how horrible it can get! |
