The "new" Sheriff Decal Scheme (above) was developed by the Polk County SO and presented to the Iowa Sheriffs Association in 1998. All Sheriff's Agencies are required to mark their cars similarly. This Blazer's decals were manufctured prior to formal adoption of the new decal scheme. The "Polk County" markings on the door bottoms is in blue. The adopted version has the county name in reflective green. Polk County is the most populous county in Iowa and home to Des Moines, the State Capitol. |
