Greetings, Good Cousins!

Lonely Tower's 12th Night Event is fast approaching. This time the Arts and Sciences Competitions will include a group activity we're calling the "Triple Tri-level." It's really easy. At least three people make something, each person with a different level of expertise. One example would be the novice comes up with the idea, gets the master to design the plans or patterns, and the intermediate cuts out the pieces and puts it together, with the novice adding on the trim. This can be in any medium and the documentation can be on a 3x5 card.

The main idea is that the entry should have three people to create an item, each with a different level of ability for that project. In this case, the resident expert in armoring might be the beginner that adds the trim to a costume. We do this all the time for regalia, Viking beds, and banners. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at siobhanblake@earthlink.net.

This Twelfth Night will be at the same great site as last year, the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Since the theme of the event is to be Welsh, the A&S competitions will also include "anything unpronounceable" and a "missile in any medium." We look forward to seeing you all next January 6th.
