John is found in the 1819, 1820, and 1825 Whitley County tax records, presumably dying as his widow Elizabeth appears in the tax records in 1828.

C.A. SMITHART 1836 - 1906 married Nancy Ann Mullin in Siloam Springs , Arkansas

John SMITHART married Susan Cumberlander; lived near Marthaville(?) and is listed on a partial census note from 1870 census daughter Sara Elizabeth SMITHART is married to a Mahlem F. Webb Sara was b. Mar 2, 1851 near Natchitoches and d. Oct 22, 1932 in Sabine Parish, near Zwolle. She is buried at the Noble cemetary.
