Menstruation LINKS!

Ooh baby, I love links! Here I've listed a few sites relating to menstruation, and since I'm
only human, at the end there are other sites I like, which have absolutely nothing to do with menstruation.
I'm forever going to be in the process of adding new sites, so if you know of a site
that's all about periods, let me know and I'll list it here.

MUM, the Museum of MenstruationMUM is a great museum completely managed by fantastic Harry Finley (yes, a MAN!). It's in the basement of his home, and although it's not open to the public at the moment, his website is great. I did an interview with Harry in my other zine, Insane Action.
FemicareFemicare is a company that makes tampon and pad holders/carrier/thingies. It's run by Lisa Watkins, who wrote this for my last zine. Her webpage should be working soon, so keep checking back.
Super Vagina"Super Vagina" is a small comic put out in Seattle by Christine Olsen. Super Vagina is a super hero with a tampon stun gun, the "mark of the vagina" on her tummy, a third eye, and an eternal flame over her head! This is really a great comic, and you should check out her page and find out how to get a copy of it.
Troom"Troom" is a website that Tampax maintains and aims towards the stupid, bubbly teenage girl type. It's full of disgusting advice on how to get boys, how to keep your period secret from boys, and of course, it's full of crap about how Tampax tampons are the only tampons you should use. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
Mystery DateMystery Date is a FANTASTIC zine all about girls. It's put together by Lynn Peril, and she does a great job of researching things like bras, the scary world of feminine hygiene, and old teen advice guides (all in issue #6, which still graces the space next to my bed, where my most beloved reading material stays).
InSyncInSync is sort of like the rebel feminine hygiene product in the big corporate world of tampons and pads. It's neither, and their marketing techniques are a lot different from other companies. A breath of fresh air...

Other Links

Sulabh Toilet MuseumThere's actually a museum for toilets - cool! It's in India, and they have a neat webpage.
Confounded Books and Hypno VideoConfounded Books and Hypno Video is a great shop in the neighborhood of Fremont, in Seattle. They sell zines (including Mystery Date), comics (Super Vagina), and they rent out RAD videos (50s & 60s B-movies, exploitation, experimental, and much more). The owners, Brad Beshaw and Ilse Thompson, are the two sweetest people in the world and they love their store to death. Visit their page and visit their store!
babysuebabysue is a comic zine put out in Atlanta, Georgia and distributed to Tower Records. It's fantastic and weird and perverse, and I love it.
Goth PoetryYou too can write bad goth poetry. This is a funny site.
Keith HaringKeith Haring is one of my favorite artists, and this is his official site. Real nice.
Ellen ForneyAnother one of my favorite artists, Ellen Forney. She has a cute website.
Insane ActionInsane Action is another zine I do. this website isn't very good, but it has a cute picture of Bettie Page on it, and a picture of Jean Harlow! Maybe that makes it worth your time. Oh well!
Art SpaceArt Space is one of my favorite art galleries. It's non-profit, and they art they have is great. Everyone involved with Art Space really seems to have their heart put into it. You should visit.
