Today is:

Hi everyone,
Samuel and Melissa Johnson here.
It's been a long time since mom has updated our site.
We are still in West Des Moines, IA, but have moved to a larger place.
In July of 2010 we had a baby so we needed more room.
It's hard to believe but our "baby" isn't a baby any more.
These pictures were taken on our September trip to Minnesota.
We hope you will enjoy them.

The family is ready for church.

Alexis and grandpa had a great time playing outside.
It was beautiful weather for a few days.
We took a lot of pictures, but there isn't room enough to show all of them.
Mom and dad took us all out to eat to celebrate our anniversary that is coming up in October.
Our sister Carrie and grandma Johnson came with us. So of course...more pictures.

A four generation of Johnsons and a picture of grandma with our family and Carrie.

Alexis loved playing in the dog's bed and Zee Bee didn't seem to mind at all.
Thursday evening my nephew Paul joined us at "Heaven's Acres."
That night it was beautiful outside so we were able to have a campfire.

On Friday Melissa and Samuel prepared a special meal for the whole family.
Lee and Heather had flown in from Wyoming and Kevin and Colette driven up from Iowa.
Saturday was a full day. First a friend of mom's came and took family pictures.
Then we all went have a ride on a pontoon. It was cold and windy, but we had a good time.

We had many layers of clothing on to keep warm. Alexis even took a nap on grandma Johnson's warm lap.

Mom had come up with the idea of renting a pontoon for the day. She has always wanted to see Star Island on Cass Lake. So that's what we did.
I hope we can do it again some time when it's warmer and not so windy. But the neat part was seeing the lake that is within the island.

Of course it was fun to pretend to be at the helm.

It was just starting to get dark as we came back to dock the pontoon.

We were all hungry and really wanted something warm to eat.
Mom and dad treated us to this special day.

Sunday afternoon it was time to say good-bye. Alexis had to sit on grandpa's lap one more time.
Then we headed south. We stopped in Owatonna at a park.

Alexis had a great time. The water fountain really captured her attention.

In October we took a day trip to Winterset and saw several of the covered bridges.

Alexis, caught in the act.

Good-bye for this time. We hope you'll stop back and visit us again.
