The two women are Sailorneptune and Sailor Uranus, two of the four outer guardians of the solar system. their goal is to find the three Tailsmans, no matter the cost ... even human lives.
"At the dawn of a new age, Sailor Neptune ... appearing gorgeously!" Thus she says in her appearance to the Inner Senshi for the first time. But don't be fooled by her beautiful appearance. This young woman is very determined in her mission, her dedication to her partner, Sailoruranus, and her attacks really pack a punch!
Before awakening as Sailorneptune, this young woman was a talented musician and a brilliant artist named Kaioh Michiru. She has had several music albums made and has performed all over the world. She is content with her life, or so it seems, until the deep ocean calls her within her dreams. By the power of her deity planet, Michiru awakens as Sailorneptune.
One day Michiru asks a friend, Elisa Gray, to introduce her to a brilliant runner, one of Elisa's teammates. Michiru is intriqued by Ten'ou Haruka and feels very drawn to her, besides being attracted. She recognizes Haruka as Sailoruranus, and later appears before her to describe their mission, but Michiru urges Haruka not to become a soldier. She bitterly recalls how she had to give up some of her dreams to accept her own fate as a fighter of the abyss.
I don't have a very deep understanding of Michiru's personality. Definitely she is gregarious of others. She teaches a class for young artists at her high school. She performs benefit concerts for those in need, and she boosts Ami's confidence by not making her feel so sorry for herself. As herself and Sailorneptune Michiru can be the rock under Haruka's feet, keeping her clear to their mission and the objectivity of others. She encourages Haruka to take some chances, and is an avid protector of her lover.
When Uranus has been cornered by Kaolinite to get her Pure Crystal Heart. Sailorneptune runs across a church isle, only to be shot by poisoned arrows. Trying desperately to save her love, she stands and tries to reach Uranus again. Like the first time, poisoned arrows dart out at her and she is attacked. Kaolinite takes this moment to shoot her with the Death Buster to take her heart. In the place of the Pure Crystal Heart appears a Tailsman, the Aqua Mirror.
Sailorneptune and Sailoruranus vow to be together, whether in death, or if they are in hell. Uranus tells her when they decide to make a pact with Galaxia for their lives, "If I have to live in hell, I don't want to do it without you."
