Prince Endmyion, Usagi/Selenity reveals in Manga Volume 2, was the highest ranking royal Prince of Earth. Endmyion and Selenity were in love, but there was a dispute between the Moon and the Earth (related to the evil being Metallia and her new helper Beryl), so our two lovers could not be together. When Queen Beryl came with her army, to conquer the Moon Kingdom, Prince Endymion was there to save his beloved. In the manga, he yelled at Beryl to stop the slaughter, to stop the fighting, that it wasn't right. What he got back as a reply, was a fierce jab through his chest, with Beryl's sword. Selenity, seeing her lover die, embraced the sword and killed herself. In the anime, Beryl asks Endymion to join her side but he refuses and as a result, both and he and Serenity are killed. In both the anime, and the manga, Beryl is very much in love with Endymion. In the manga, as beryl died, we see a memory of her looking on sadly and jealously back on the Moon Kingdom, as Selenity and Endymion embrace. As Prince of the Earth, Endymion had four generals - Kunzite - the leader (known as Malachite in the USA), Nephrite (Nephlyte - the one Molly loved in the USA), Zoicite, and Jedite. These four men were humans, like Endymion, and there are romantic references made between and from Sailor Venus and Kunzite. There was an image Naoko Tackeuchi drew of the four generals with each of the Senshi - indicating that they may have all been lovers in the past - this is was never developed in the manga but makes for great fan fiction. After the defeat of the Moon Kingdom, it is inferred that the Generals were brainwashed to the side of Metallia - reborn as her's and Beryl's pretty boy slaves. When Usagi/Selenity regains her memories of the past and transforms into Selenity, the white crystal returns Kunzite's (Malachite's) true soul and memories. He steals Endymion-sama, his master, and brings him back to Beryl. There he looks at his 3 other general friends in sorrow, seeing that they have all been bainwashed. Kunzite loses his memories again - he is brainwashed by Beryl - but later in the manga, when The Mystical Silver Crystal heals the planet, the generals awake for a few moments asking where their master, Endymion-sama is, before returning to their corpse forms. Now all four generals are dead and have been transformed into four stones - the precious stones that are their namesake. These stones carry their souls, and Endymion calls upon them when he needs their help, as when he asked how he could possibly save Usagi without any great power, and the Generals appeared before him from the stones and told him to believe in himself, and his true power (his power is revealed to be La Smoking Bomber - an extremely powerful attack). The Generals appear before him when Endymion and Usagi/Selenity are trapped inside Metallia, and they tell Endymion that the forehead of Metallia is her weak spot and to strike her there. With their help, Endymion and Usagi focus on Metallia's weak spot and defeat the evil demon. Endymion keeps the stones all his life, precious by his side. The generals were like his brothers and were his best friends.
