This is my sister, Marnita Ann Schwarting (aka--Marnita Ann McDowell). She was last seen in the Williamsburg, IA area on October 8, 1996. Marnita is the mother of my two nephews, Nathan and Adam, and neither they nor the rest of my family has seen or heard from her since she left. Marnita (nickname--Marn) is now 36 yrs old (DOB--October 10, 1961). She has blonde hair, brown eyes. She wears contacts, but could also be wearing glasses similar to the ones in the photograph. She is about 5'5"--5'6" and weighs about 125-130 pounds. Marn is divorced and is currently in arrears in child support payments as well as running from law authorities in Keokuk Co, IA for drug charges. We, her family, would like to see her returned to Iowa, not only to face her obligations to the drug charges, but because our mother's health is not good. Mom is constantly worrying about Marn's location and well-being and this is not good for her blood pressure, nor diabetic problem. Mom also has a heart condition as well, for which she has been hospitalized several times in the past 20 months. Marn was last employed at Williamsburg Mfg as a QC technician. Her last known residence was What Cheer, IA. Marn was last seen in the company of James Cave (see accompanying photo). She was driving a black, 1996 Beretta 2-door, with the driver's side window broken out, framework covered in duct tape. License on vehicle is unknown at this time. She may still be in the Iowa area, but we believe her to be either in Missouri or possibly Arizona. We do not believe that Marnita left of her own free will with James Cave, as he was armed with a weapon the last night both were seen.

This is James Cave (aka John Cave, has several other aka's but unknown at this time). He is in the company of my sister, Marnita. He is also wanted in Keokuk Co, IA for drug charges. He does have an existing prison record in Missouri for possible drug charges and is on possible parole violation with Missouri. James Cave DOES NOT have a current driver's license. When last seen on October 8, 1996, he WAS carrying a weapon. If this person is seen, PLEASE USE EXTREME CAUTION!! Contact local authorities for assistance in apprehending them both. James Cave is about 40 yrs old, about 140-175 pounds, and about 5'8"--6'0" tall. He is known to be an abusive person.
Please email me any information regarding the possible location of my sister, but please inform local authorities that you saw this on the web when making a report of a possible sighting. Your help in locating my sister is much appreciated and this page will be updated with information as it becomes available or if and when my sister is found.
UPDATE: We still have no location on Marnita at this time, however, we do know that she is alive, well and in no life threatening danger. She is also thinking of home. This information comes from an astrologer who is helping locate her by doing her personal astrological charts. Please help keep looking and sending this out to everyone. Your help is needed and appreciated.

Marn called home approximately 3 weeks after this page was posted. She was fine and living within a couple hrs of our home. Since her call, she has had her day in court. She is now a free woman, with no jail time served. She is happy and now living again at home with our family. My sincere thanks to Starlit77 for her astrological assistance, giving us the renewed hope that she would be returning soon and safely. May God bless everyone who has visited or lent their prayers for our family in locating her swiftly.
