Mike's Tips
Do you know your Ctrl Keys?
Just pick out the text that you want to forward, Ctrl-A or select it with your mouse (highlighted), then Ctrl-C to copy, (now it's in the clip board) and Ctrl-V to paste, (now it's in the document and is still in the clip-board to use again if you wish) Ctrl-X will cut something from a document, to paste elsewhere. This is handy for putting things in order. These commands will work from graphics to text to almost anything, even from UN-related programs. Copy images to a Word-7.0 Document, clip art to an e-mail, most anything to anything. When you copy a new object or text to the clip-board, any old object, resident in the clipboard has now been overwritten. Now only the new object, text, what-ever remains. Hint, select from the end of a sentence, then go to the beginning, back to front (mouse action is smoother that way). To get to the front of your sentence, hit the HOME key, to the end of a sentence, hit the END key. Or just (right mouse button) and (select all), or use the key command Ctrl-A . Key commands:
Ctrl-A will select all C:\WINDOWS\CLIPBRD.EXE or type clipbrd in your run box Clip-board will also move, copy, files in your explorer. There more commands like this one. Just start up Word in MS Office. It can show you step by step how to insert weird text like Ø and ® § ¥. You can auto-insert by using the stated key command in MS Word from the Character Map. And you can do this without opening up Character map. MS word is made to do that. A power toy to change your user interface is Tweak UI. You can find this on your 98 CD under reskit/power toys.
