Student Satisfaction

 

 

1. Staff from Disability Services will provide assistance to students in the use of assistive technology to access exams and other educational materials.

 

 

2. Qualified students will display proficiency in the use of assistive technology to access exams and other educational materials.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Students will report that assistive technology was beneficial in their efforts to access exams and other educational materials.

 

 

 

 

 

Staff will maintain a list of students receiving the assistance.

 

 

 

 

Students will formally demonstrate their ability to use assistive technology in various computer labs at least three times during 2008-09.  Staff will use an assessment rubric developed by the division assessment committee to evaluate students’ proficiency in using assistive technology.

 

 

Students who utilize assistive technology in 2008-09 will complete a spring satisfaction survey, which contains several items related to the use of the technology.  Staff will evaluate students’ responses to the items.

 

 

 

At least 75 percent of qualified students will use Disability Services for this purpose in 2008-09.

 

 

 

The average rating of student achievement in each performance category will be 3 or higher on a scale of 1-4.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

At least 90 percent of respondents will indicate that assistive technology was beneficial or very beneficial.
