The strategic plan was used to guide institutional improvement efforts. The status report was used by the IEC  and Executive Council to assess progress toward stated institutional goals. Program changes were made based on findings of the program/department reviews. The SPOL system was used for submitting annual plans and budget requests.

Documents and Reports were distributed to administrators and faculty for use in decision-making and instructional enhancement, and college marketing.

Modify the program review process to increase the ease of reporting, reviewing, and usefulness of results.

Program Enhancement (STG 1)

The program review schedule was revised and approved by the IEC. The Program Report Template was revised and approved by the IEC. All programs scheduled for review were reviewed.

Revisions to the program/department review process were used to improve the accuracy and timeliness of reviews. The results were used to make program improvements.

Acquire and utilize a document scanning system that expands and enhances the information processing capacity of the college.

Report describing the needs assessment and scanner selection process. Documentation confirming expansion and enhancement of the information processing capabilities of the department

Obtain scanner purchase approval. Purchase scanner. Utilize scanner for information processing.

Program Enhancement (STG 1)

A Cannon scanner with Remark scanning software was purchased and used for processing surveys and evaluations.

Document scanner was used for processing surveys and faculty evaluations by students.

Expand and enhance the abilities of departmental personnel.

Confirmation of staff participation in professional meetings and professional training seminars/workshops. Examples: SACS Annual Meeting, SACS Summer Institute, AIR Annual Meeting, MISATFOR Annual Reports Workshop.

Staff participation in one or more activity (e.g., professional meeting, course, or seminar) designed to enhance professional knowledge, skills, and departmental services.

Program Enhancement (STG 1); Employee Development (STG 2)

One staff member attended the SACS Annual Meeting. One member attended the SACS Summer Institute. Two members attended the MISATFOR Annual Reports Workshop. One staff member attended the AIR Annual Meeting.

Information obtained at the professional meetings was used to improve departmental operations and services. The information was used to facilitate institutional improvement and reaffirmation of accreditation.
