Use of Results

Basic understanding of the criminal and civil laws of the state of Florida as well as the Federal guidelines concerning criminal procedure necessary for law enforcement officers.

Students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of the Florida Criminal and Civil laws, as well as the Federal guidelines concerning criminal procedure. This measure will be demonstrated through an 80% or higher passing score of the written Curriculum Examinations which coincide with the completion of the portions of curriculum which correspond with the DOE Common Course Numbering System and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.

 

The current trend has been an 80% - 85% pass rate on the first attempt of the State Law Enforcement Examination.

To re-evaluate instructional and training techniques and make improvements in order to increase the pass rate for the next program that follows.

Basic defensive tactic skills necessary for law enforcement officers

Passing score of 80% or higher on all rounds fired using handgun (revolver or semiautomatic pistol) and long gun (shotgun or semiautomatic rifle/carbine) as scored on the CMS Firearms Performance Evaluation, as well as an 80% or higher passing score on the written exam, and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.

 

 

 

Passing score of 100% on the CMS Defensive Tactics Performance Evaluation, as well as an 80% or higher passing score on the written exam, and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.

Basic First Aid/First Responder skills necessary for law enforcement officers.

Passing 4 out of 5 attempted vehicle runs (80%) on the CMS Vehicle Operations Performance Evaluation, as well as an 80% or higher passing score on the written exam, and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.

 

Passing score of 100% on the CMS First Aid Performance Evaluation, as well as an 80% or higher passing score on the written exam, and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.

Students will demonstrate a basic knowledge of the communication skills necessary for law enforcement officer effectiveness. This measure will be demonstrated through a 80% or higher passing score of the written Curriculum Examinations which coincide with the completion of the portions of curriculum which correspond with the DOE Common Course Numbering System and the passing of the State Exam Law Enforcement Officers with an overall score of 80% or higher.
