Improved data disaster recovery plan.

Data backup equipment installed at a location at least 100 miles away from LCCC

Backup equipment installed by summer, 2009.




The installation of data backup equipment at a remote location will allow the college to access data in the event data is destroyed on campus due to a disaster. This will minimize operational down time.

Student correspondence from the college, other than in person, will be done electronically.

1) Portal will be installed to support student email.

2) Students will be assigned a college email address to handle correspondence.

Student email portal will be installed and working by fall, 2009.



Corresponding with students through a college assigned email address will ensure that students have access to assignments and relevant information

Conversion to the Banner administrative software system will be complete.

All business processes within the Banner administrative software system will be operational.

Conversion will be completed by fall, 2009.




The new administrative software system will lead to improved student services.
