*Mission: The mission of the Emergency Medical Services program at Lake City Community College is to prepare students to be employed as an Emergency Medical Services professional upon completion of the training program.

Perform Patient Care Procedures, to include those responsibilities typically assigned to EMTs and paramedics in the pre-hospital field.	Graduates will demonstrate program competency on the EMS licensure exam.	EMT and Paramedic exam results.	Eighty five percent (85%) of graduates who sit for an EMS licensure exam will pass on their first attempt.
Students will gain skills necessary to become employed in the healthcare profession.	Students who complete one or more certificates will be employed in the field within six months of graduation	Student surveys and student contacts indicating employment.	Ninety percent (90%) of responding students will report that they were employed in the field within six months of graduation.
Graduating students will be satisfied with the program.	Students will report satisfaction with the level of knowledge and skills gained upon completion of the program	Student satisfaction surveys which are administered at the end of the EMT and Paramedic programs.	Eighty percent (80%) of the returned EMT and Paramedic graduate Surveys will demonstrate program satisfaction at an average or higher level.
