Goodbye

Our time together is coming to an end,

But we shall not be separated.

We’ve grown so close together,

Our hearts will forever be one.

This is a time of sadness as our ways part,

But we must hold on to the times we’ve shared,

And we cannot forget the love we shared,

Because goodbyes are not forever.

You were my friend when I had none,

And you listened when no one else would,

You understood the pain I felt inside,

And erased it with the magic that is within you.

You helped me realize my worth,

You made me who I am,

But now I must leave, I must stand on my own,

But it will be your strength that will support me.

Because I know you will never leave,

You’ll always have a place with me,

Where nothing else can get,

You will be in my heart.

So as you move on with your life,

Do not forget me,

Because goodbyes are not forever,

And I’ll always remember you.
