Comments on 9/11

Some may think this was a wake-up call brought about because as a nation we are not following God,
but are falling away. But I think that even if every person in the nation were true to the Lord, this still would
have happened. The war between Israel and her enemies goes back over 4000 years. As allies to Israel,
we are a threat to the nations that hate her. Admittedly this event has drawn everyone closer to God -
seeking, hurting, crying and looking for comfort. This is good. But will it stave off future attacks?
I don't believe we can look at it like that for 2 reasons: 1. God will do what He wants to do and perform
His will "on earth as it is in heaven." And 2. The enemies of God will also do whatever they want to do,
regardless of reason, logic, law, or humanity. Drawing close to the Lord only guarantees that whatever
may happen, it will happen with the Lord by our side.
