The Love of My Life
This is Keenan and I after I surprised him by driving 6 hours to see him on Valentine's Day.
Keenan Davis is the love of my life. Yes ladies he is gorgeously sexy, sweet, loving, and a great kisser. Not to mention intelligent, musical, and into sports (what guy isn't). And let us not forget he is mine all mine. I met him through mutual friends and we hit it off right away. He is now 20 years of age. I met him when we were both 17. He has a sister, Kelsey, who is now 11 years of age. And 'rents.
Here's the story of how we met (it's quite complicated): Well, first I met this guy at a track meet in the spring of '98, and then I introduced one of his friends, Tony, to one of my friends, Cara, and they hit it off. I had been going out with the guy I met at the track meet for 6 months. During this time I was diagnosed with cancer and went through radiation. I got very sick, throwing up, and not being able to eat anything and keep it down. Well, this guy almost never called me, and acted like he didn't care. To top it off his devil-mother called me and yelled at ME for not calling HIM! I wanted to just break up with him but my friends told me to give him one more chance, so I did. Keenan was friends with Tony, so he heard about the problems with me. Me and Cara setup another one of Keenan's friends, Joe, with another of our friends, Jenni. They hit it off well, also. Now here's where Keenan and I actually meet. Joe and Keenan were bored so they went to Cedar Rapids, a larger town about an half an hour away, and just wasted a couple hours. It was Independence's Homecoming, that's where Joe goes to school, so Joe decided to call Jenni and go to the last half hour. So they went and picked up Jen and drove to Indee. Keenan doesn't go to Independence anymore so he just drove around town for a while. He went back to the high school to pick up Joe and Jen, they told him to get out, and Doug, a friend, would bring him home. So he did. While Keenan waited for Doug, Tony pulled up next to him, with Cara, me, and my boyfriend in the car. We asked him where Joe was going. Keenan said to bring a girl back to La Porte City, where she lived and about 45 minutes away. We freaked out and told him to get in. Tony's back seat only has two seats so I sat on my boyfriend's lap with Keenan next to me. I politely introduced myself and we shook hands, and Tony headed toward Joe's house, which is about 15 minutes from Indee. We got about 10 minutes away from town and realized that my stupid boyfriend had to be home at 12:00 and it was 11:48, so we had to head back to his house in Indee. We got to his house and I gave him a peck and got back in the car. Tony needed gas so we went to the Kwik Trip a few blocks away. From there Keenan used my phone to call home and tell his mom when he would be home. Which is a good thing. Then we called Joe and told him to meet us at his house. Then we headed off to Brandon. On the way there, Keenan complimented both me and Cara on how they looked. Now, mind you my boyfriend at the time had not said anything about how I looked or anything of the like so this impressed me and flattered me major time. I asked Keenan if he had a girlfriend, he said no, not even close. Then I asked what he wanted in a girl. Keenan told me he was desperate and didn't really care. Cara said she knew the perfect person, and motioned for me to come closer to her and whispered something in my ear. And both of us laughed. When we got to Joe's, where Keenan's car was, we all talked for awhile and then the Cara and I both ran behind the garage, Joe and Tony had no clue what we were doing. Keenan, being a little quicker than they are, informed them that we were removing our bras because they were uncomfortable. When we got back to the car, Cara asked for Keenan's phone number so she could call him sometime, he wondered why, but he did it. And guess what? We called the next day from my house. This is where the fact that he called from the car phone comes in. We couldn't read his handwriting and the only way we got a hold of him was because the number was in the memory on the phone! Keenan talked to Cara at first, then to me. While on the phone, I had company come over so I gave the phone back to Cara for a bit. Then, at that time Cara asked if he would be interested in going to our Homecoming that Friday night, he said yes. And when I got back to the phone Cara was very happy and I had no clue what was going on, both of them informed me and I was sooooo happy, and then we talked for awhile longer. When we got off the phone, we were in great moods! The next Tuesday, I called him from Jenn's house in La Porte City, 15 minutes from his house, I said that me, Jenn, and Cara, were waiting for Joe to meet us at the grocery store in town, so he said he'd meet us there, from there we decided to go out to my house, which was another 15 minutes away. We spent a while walking around my yard, talking and making fun of Cara, 'cause Tony wasn't there. She felt bad, and left. Soon after that Joe and Jenn left. So that left me and Keenan. Cara called though, and we stood out by his car while I listened to Cara's complaints. After I got off the phone, he asked me if I wanted to start dating, and I said yes. From there on out its been great!!!!!!!!!!!! |
