Charles City High School Marching Band

Charles City, "America's Hometown Marching Band" is a consistant award winner at many festivals and parades throughout the Midwest. They have earned 15 Division I Ratings at State Marching Contest in the past 16 years. In 2000, Charles City won the Meredith Wilson Best Band Trophy at the North Iowa Band Festival in Mason City for the 14th consecutive year. In August, Charles City was named the 1999 Governor's Cup winner as the best band in the Iowa State Fair Parade. Charles City Bands have performed throughout the United States including Chicago, Nashville, Washington D.C., St. Petersburg, Phoenix, Houston , Orlando, and New York City. This year's show is from the hit Broadway musical "Miss Saigon." Including songs 'The Heat is on in Saigon,' 'Sun and Moon,' and 'Kim's Nightmare.' The band is under the direction of Jason Dobbs.
