FOUND!John Lennon's Secret Sister
IMAGINE! John Lennon had a long-lost sister he spent 20 years trying to find.
She's a file clerk Ingrid Pedersen of Southhampton,England, who was put up for adoption by John's mom Julia when he was just 4.
"Now at last, I can admit who I am- the little sis John loved but could never find," reveals Ingrid, 53.
Incredibly, Ingrid knew she was John's half sister in 1966. But she promised not to go public with her shocking secret until her adoptive mom Margaret died. She suffered a fatal heart attack just weeks ago.
Ingrid's birth mom Julia brought baby Victoria Elizabeth into the world on June 19, 1945, after a fling with Welsh soldier Taffy Williams.
Julia's merchant seaman husband Alf Lennon-John's father-had jumped ship in the U.S. two years before.
Unable to cope, the single mom gave Victoria to Margaret and her Norweigan sailor husband Peder.
The ex-Beatle, haunted by their seperation, penned the moving 1965 song You've Got To Hide Your Love Away about his desperate search. And he spent thousands of dollars over two decades on detectives to locate her until crazed fan Mark Chapman killed him on Dec. 8, 1980.
Ingrid's deepest regret is she never got to reunite with her brother.
"I knew John wanted more than anything to meet me and I wanted to meet him," she says. "But it wasn't meant to be."
