Ephemeral Ecstasy by Elora le Fay
(Art by Elora le Fay)
Dolls of glass
with bullet proof souls
dance on nothing,
as nothing they are
They strive weakly,
trapped in this jewel box
of a world
We don't want you
Come back when you're dying
Acceptance
is an anorexic face
painted to life
on the magazine cover
Come back when your mind
is eaten away
by self denial
Detatched from life
Sweep away the dust
of your fraying body
and dance on nothing
An empty existance
with nothing
but wanting less...
So keep grinding away at glass
sweeping away the dust
until the final gasp of breath
sends the shattered glass flying
Silently silencing for a brief second
before being swept under the runway
