Almost always, it seems a lot easier just to do what you've always done, as did those before you, and as will the ones after you. Tradition. It's all to do with tradition. But between what you want and what you have stands a whole lot of everything. It all depends on how much you really want that change. If you really need that change at all. Do you want to stand and laugh in the faces of people when there's a whole lot more of them (who, incidentally, are taller, richer, stronger, and probably better looking than you) standing, staring, and laughing at you? Is it such a bad thing, just to want to have a break from always trying to be different and just take the well-trodden path that so many follow today? I don't hear them complaining with the tongue of a rebel. They are the ones that walk with smiles when they learn that they're not alone in what they're doing. Why do we always have to question? Why can't I just accept? Do I really want to deal with anything at all? I can't say I approve of the way society is working now, but I can't see a better alternative. I want to eat my chip-n-mint ice cream now, but will I want it tomorrow, when everybody else is eating it? |
