Truth is, of course, something that no one person can know, for only the
most arrogant of men would refuse
to acknowledge that he is incapable of knowing everything about the
universe. Nor can one claim to know that
something is true with absolute certainty, even on a purely physical
level. The greatest minds of all kind were the first to
recognize their own fallability. It is the role of humanity, then, to
seek truth through observation, and to substantiate
theoretical claims not with threats of eternal damnation, but with
logic and reason.
And for you religious folk out there...if you're of mind
to argue with what I believe...please send an email. I love theological
debates!

I've never been one to put much faith in religion...in fact, the only thing
I have complete and utter faith in is the vastness of human stupidity.
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm
not sure about the former."
-Albert Einstein
A quote I will stand behind until the very end, I assure you. Ah, but I'm
degressing...on to the matter at hand! I've found it incredibly difficult
to describe what I believe -- not an obstacle I had expected. I'm not an
atheist, by definition, but I do shy away from all forms of organized religion.
I've always felt that religion was somewhat...no, extremely...limiting.
Such belief systems are so set in their ways that they fail to realize
that they've ceased their search for truth. Religion throws an answer in your
hand before you've the chance to think what questions should be asked...
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than
you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the
other possible gods, you will understand why I
dismiss yours."
-Stephen Roberts
And, if you'll be patient, I'll attempt to finish this once I've gotten
a bit of sleep...
...

Science...the fundamental basis of all that I believe.
This will also take a bit of time to finish...
