Title: Falling for Willow
Author: Samantha [samantha13@hotpop.com]
Disclaimer: We all know that all the characters and the show belong to
Joss Whedon. Enough said.
Distribution: Just ask me and you can have it.
Classification: W/A
Summary: Willow gets sick of the way people treat her and decides to show them what she's really
like. Angel becomes aware of that and then starts thinking about how he ever missed the little
spitfire (more specific summary will come if I continue the story).
Author's Note: Ok, this is my first fic. So sorry if it sucks. If people
actually like it, I'll write more fics. But, until I hear what "the people"
have to say, this is the only fic I have. If I get good feedback, I'll continue with the story.
Oh yeah, and as far as I'm concerned, Oz never happened. <> denotes thoughts.

"Ok, so Wills, what do you think? Red or black?"

"Bu-"

"Red? Ok, I thought so too. So we're Bronzing right"

"Actua-"

"Ok, cool. So I'll meet you there. Bye, I have to go train with Giles"

"Umm, Bu-"

"Bye Wills! See ya later!"

wait for my answer? But wait, that's usual Buffy. That's just how she is. Now that I think
of it, she only pays attention to me when she needs me for researching demons and stuff.
That's me, Re->

"Hey Wills!" Xander said interupting her thoughts.

"Oh hi Xander."

"So what's happening? We're Bronzing with the Buffster right? Oh there's Cordelia, gotta
run Willow, later!"

always assume that I'll go along with what they want. Oh wait, that's probably because
I usually do. Ok, not this time. Nope. This time, I'm going to be gutsy. Yeah, that's me,
gutsy Willow. I'm going to go the mall, buy myself a whole new wardrobe and get a makeover.
Yeah, I'll do that. Then we'll see if people assume about me again.>

[At the mall]

"Hey Wills. What ya got there? Look at all those shopping bags! Oh wait, let me guess, you bought
them for me, right? That's so thoughtful of you!"

"Actually Buffy, they're for me. Sorry to disappoint you, but not everything revolves around you."

"Oh. Ok. Wait a minute. Just what do you mean by not everything revolves around?"

"Just that. You think that everything that happens has something to do with you. Well guess what?
Not everything that happens has to do with you and that pretty face of yours. And earlier today,
you didn't wait for me to answer. You just automatically assumed what my answers would be. And no,
I didn't think that red was better, I thought black was better. I didn't agree to go Bronzing
either. Who the hell do you think you are? Just because you're the oh so beautiful chosen one,
does not put you as top rank. In fighting yes, but in the real world, you're at the bottom."

And with that, Willow turned, and walked away.

Giles looked up as the doors of the library opened to reveal, Buffy.

"Ah, Buffy. You're, a little early, aren't you? Training isn't until another, hour or so."

"Yeah well..anyways. I think Willow's like, possessed or something ya know? Cuz she actually said
some pretty mean stuff to me. Like, she said just because I'm the beautiful chosen one, it doesn't
put me as top rank or whatever. And that in fighting I probably am, but in the real world, I'm at
the bottom."

"Oh my. I see. Willow, umm, Willow Rosenberg said that? You're sure it wasn't an illusion or
something?

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Willow Rosenberg. I think I would know if it was my best friend."

"Oh, yes of course. I see. I'll check my books. Would you mind helping?"

"Actually Giles. I, uh, I have this...thing. Yeah, this thing, yeah, with my mom. You know like
mother daughter bonding stuff. Anyways, gotta run. Bye Giles!"

I thought of an excuse. A good one too. I always think up good things. Yup. I'm perfect>.

[Willow's room]

"Just who does Buffy think she is? A goddess or something? Probably. I'll show her, that good for
nothing bitch. Today, I'm gonna go to the Bronze. Not Bronzing. I'm gonna go Bronzing,
Willow-style. I'll show everyone just how wild and daring Research Girl can be. I'll show them how
I can dance. This time, I'm not gonna just sit there."

Taking her clothes out of the bag, she realized something to the mall>. Picking up her purse, she started towards the mall.

*********************************************

[2 hours later, back in Willow's room]

"Ok, so I'll wear a mix of black and red. Evil colors. Daring clothes mini-skirt, and 2 inch heels, definitely un-Willow>, speaking of which. Willow isn't a very...
appealing name. I know, I'll use Red. Ok, show time at the Bronze, Red style."

Part 2

[the Bronze]

Walking into the Bronze, Red made quite the entrance to make sure she was the focus of everyone's
attention. She jumped onto one of the tables and started dancing, her body moving in
rhythm with the music. All eyes were on her alright, many of which were filled with desire.

Searching the crowd, she spotted the person she was looking for, Buffy. Making sure Buffy was still
paying attention to her, she jumped off the table and grabbed the nearest guy. The guy shocked,
but pleased that she picked him, even if it was at random, started freaking with her.

Buffy, of course, was shocked to see the girl she knew as Willow, gyrating to the music like she
had been born for it. She scanned the crowd looking for Xander. Seeing her target, she walked to
him and started draggin him to a table.

"Xander! Did you see Willow?!? What's wrong with her? Now I know she's really possessed. We have to
confront her and take her to Giles to see if he can do anything."

"......."

"Xander, are you listening to me? Xander? Hello???"

"...huh..."

"XANDER!!" screamed Buffy as she whacked him on the head.

"Hey, ow! That hurt! Oh, it's you. Hi Buffy. What's happen..."

"Xander, how come yo...oh my god! What the hell does Willow think she's doing?"

Buffy stared in shock as she saw Willow touching the guys in certain places even SHE wouldn't have
dared to touch.

"Buffy, that's Willow Rosenberg? As in my best friend? The girl I've known my whole life? I never
saw her dance like that. Wait, scratch that, I never saw her dance period."

"Xander, are you sure that's Willow? She HAS been acting un-Willow like lately. I think she's
possessed or something. I mean, number one, look at her clothes, I would never wear a skirt that
short. And number two, she doesn't talk back to people."

"Sure Buffy, whatever you say........."

"Xander? What are you looking at..oh."

Red had stopped dancing and was heading towards the pair.

"Hello Xander," Red said.

"H-hi..Willow....soooooooo, I like your new look. It's very, umm....."

"Hi Willow!! So you're not like, possessed or anything right? I mean cuz you talked back to me today
and well...the clothes you're wearing...and the way you were dancing started to scare me. You were
playing a joke on us right?"

"Buffy," Red replied with a slight nod only barely acknowledging Buffy's presence.

"So, um, Willow, could ya answer my questions? You're possessed, yes or no....joke, yes or no?"

"No and no. By the way, the name's Red, not Willow."

And with that, Red ended the conversation with Buffy and started towards the dance floor.

"Whoa, did you see Willow? Man is she ho- Umph. What the hell Buffy?"

"Xander, stop it! You're talking about you're best friend here for god sakes!"

Angel comes out from the shadows and questions Buffy, "Who was that girl you were talking to a
minute ago? She looked sort of familiar."

"Who? Oh, that was Willow, or should I say 'Red'?"

"Willow? Willow Rosenberg? You mean Willow the witch, the net girl, the girl who gave me back my
soul? Little mousy Willow? Are you sure? I mean cuz I-"

"Angel! I never heard you talk so much at one time before. Not about me. And yes I'm sure it was
Willow. Even ask Xander here, he would know, he's been staring at her ever since she got here."

"Ummm, no I think I'll pass asking Xander. Anyway, he sort of looks occupied at the moment."

"Xander? Occupied? Doing what?" Turning around she saw him staring at Red.

"Oh. I see what you mean."

"Buffy, I think I'll go ask Willow what's going on. If she's ok and stuff." going to go dance with her. Forget Buffy. She dumped me. Time to move on. To Willow. How did I ever
not notice what a little spitfire she is? I mean look at her, brains AND beauty. Ok, enough
thinking, get over there and start dancing with her already.>

*********************************************

[on the dance floor]

Red turned and rubbed her body at the guy behind her, not caring who it was. To her surprise and
delight, it was Angel.

"H-hi, um, Willow," stammered Angel while thinking before. Ah, stop thinking Angel. Just dance!>

"Hello...Angel," Red responded in a husky voice.

"By the way, call me Red. The name Willow is too nice and sweet for my tastes."

"Ok, Wil-Red."

"Shhh, stop talking and just feel-dance..."

"Red, where did you learn to dance like this and-hey! What was that?!?!"

"I didn't learn to dance, I just feel the rhythm and move my body to the beat. And that? That was me
...touching...you."

"Oh, ok......how come you're not sitting at a table or dressed normally? Not that you have to be.
It's just that you normally don't dance, you just sit. And well, let's say your clothes are the
opposite of what you would usually wear."

"Well, I got sick of everyone's assuming what my response or answer would be. Got tired of being so
damn nice to everyone. It was Willow can you research this for me? Or, Willow can you do a spell for
me? Or, Willow, quick, give me your homework. Decided to show everyone what I'm really like. So, do
you like the new, or should I say, the real me?"

"Yes, definitely, much better. Not that, umm, *shit her said under his breath(not that he has one)*,
you, umm, weren't..umm, better before. I mean. Oh I don't know what I'm saying."

"That's ok. I hate the old Willow. She was to forgiving and kind and stuff. Goody two shoes is what
she was. The only thing the old Willow and me have in common is witch stuff and love of computers.
She never used her hacking skills to get her some money. Which, is a good idea, I'll do that
tonight. So enough about Willow, why don't we go back to my house? It's more, private, there. And
don't worry about my parents, they're not home. Never are, maybe 6 or 7 times a year."

"Are you sure? You wouldn't mind inviting me in?"

"Nope. So shall we?"

"Alright, let's go."
