My War Against Alcohol and Drugs

Abuse of any form can lead to alcohol
or drug addiction.
It is sad when a life has been destroyed
from alcohol or drugs.
Why does abuse ever exist, for me
it was abuse of many sorts.
But God saved me from the bounderies of Hell,
and it is for this reason I choose to Crusade For Christ.
For without Him I may not be alive today.

Years ago I was dependent on drugs and alcohol.
I lived my life in fear and paranoia,
clouds of adversity, darkness, and temtations
colored my world grey. There were times
I wanted help, but when someone
reached out to help me I drew back.
I don't know if it was from fear
of getting help, or fear
that I actually needed help.
I stumbled wrecklessly through life,
keeping myself either intoxicated
or high, just to ease the pain of abuses and guilt.
One day I just couldn't take the roller coaster
ride of life anymore. I asked Jesus
to please save me from the boundries of Hell
where I blindly roamed.
For the fist time in years,
I saw a light break through my world of darkness.
I cried a river in repentence,
I felt as light as a feather
like I was floating.
I asked Jesus into my heart,
and to forgive me of my sins
I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior.
Jesus gave me back my life
a life I had never knew existed.
Over the coming years, I rebuilt
my life, using Jesus as my foundation.
I have never touched alcohol or drugs since

"Praise The Lord!!!" He set me free.
Free from the bondage that was destroying me.
I dedicate this poem to my loving Lord and Savior.
Thank You, Jesus!

"REBORN"

I let go of the evils of the night,

I let go of the darkness for the "Light".

God forgave me of all my sin

that I carried from deep within.

I let go of the wrong way, for the right.

I have come home to strength instead of frail,

I have come home to peace instead of hell.

God gave me joy instead pain

He gave me life instead of bane.

Hallelujah! my soul was saved from hell.

Don't be imprisoned by Satan
Let Jesus break down the walls that trap you.
He will set you free by cleansing you
from your sins, and you too can experience
the forgiveness, love, peace and tranquility
that only HE can give.

God loves you and He truely cares.
He can help you,
If you will accept Him.

Take a deep breathe, let your body relax
Open up your heart and let Jesus in.
Repeat the Sinners Prayer.

"The Sinners Prayer"
O' Heavenly Father, I am a sinner.
I believe Jesus Christ is Your only Son
and that He died to save sinners like me.
Forgive me for all my sins,
I now ask Jesus into my life.
I accept Him as my Lord and Savior
In Jesus name I pray.. Amen.

Do you feel the joy? the relief?
you have just been "Saved"
through the "Blood of Jesus".
He has taken all your sin
Upon Himself.
Thank You Jesus!
