The "6 Pack Scoop" Page

There are 2 sizes available to work with

They are both hand woven and have gel coat applied to them on the top side

I haven't worked with the taller one yet, it seems roughly the same lenght and width, but it is taller. It costs about 60 bucks more than the original replica

Here is a recently finished hood with 6 Pack Scoop that I made

This is the underside after the scoop has been attached to the metal hood

Everything is sanded down with 220 sandpaper and scotchbright pads

It will get two coats of SPI Brand Black Epoxy sprayed on

The topside work is just starting in this picture

applications of Duraglass, then Rage Gold will make the transition from the hood to the scoop flow together perfectly

another view

after all the bodywork has been completed, 2 coats of epoxy will be applied

If I paint the hoods "Topside Only", I sand them down to 400 - 600 grit, then apply an epoxy sealer, if I lay that sealer pretty slick, it goes directly to basecoat after curing.

I paint the slow method, with more than plenty of flash times between all the coats of primer/base/clear

I am a fan of S.P.I. (Southern Polyurethane Inc.) products, which makes the very best epoxies, sealers, and the high solids u/v clears that I use.
