Animal Testing

Many of the products people use today are tested on animals, many more than you may realize. The methods of testing are nothing short of torture.

Cosmetics, household cleansers, paints, oils, and more are poured into the animal's eyes, rubbed on shaved patches of skin, and force-fed to the animal. Often times, the testing continues after the product has been placed on the market. The majority of companies are NOT required to test their products on animals. Also, because animals used for testing, including rabbits, rats, mice, cats, dogs, and monkeys, do not react to substances the way human beings do, the test results are often irrelevant.

The animals in the testing labs are often left for days, up to a week or more, without food or water. When they become ill, the are rarely given any type of medical treatment or veterenary care. When the test results cause serious harm to the animals, they suffer greatly and often die. Those who don't die aren't properly treated and are "recycled" into other types of product tests. Some animals die before the first test is even performed on them, from lack of food and water, veterenary care, and the great number of air-borne diseases in the labs. Those who die before their first test are spared immeasurable suffering.

A lot of well-know and well-used products are STILL tested needlessly on animals. To find out which of the most popular companies test on animals, click here. To find out which products are NOT tested on animals today, click here.

Procter & Gamble is the largest household product company in the world. We, at Youth For A Better World, encourage you to boycott the following list of products:

While some of Procter & Gamble's products may not be tested on animals, P&G refuses to halt all animal testing. Send them a clear message against its cruel animal test by boycotting all of its products. Or, you can write to:
