Joey is one of Yugi’s class mates, also one of many who picked on Yugi before they became friends. They didn’t become friends till Yugi stood up to a bully for Joey and Tristan. Since then they have been closer then brothers, and have been able to teach each other about life and dueling. Joey’s other driving force in his life is his sister Serenity, who is always cheering him on and encouraging him to be strong.
