After installation, launch ares, then a window telling you “please select version to start” Click on Ares This one goes to eleven! Then press start button located at the lower right corner (beside the update button) By now, you already know that you need anonymous proxies, quite a number of them before you could go on testing a site. You also need a wordlist. How do you load your proxylist in Ares? Say you have a text file named proxy.txt containing say 100 proxies and you want to use it in Ares. Here’s how I do it, open windows explorer, go to (C:) -? Program Files -? Final Ares Complete Edition, then find the proxy.ini file, that’s where you should paste your proxies. Open your proxy list text file in a text editor such as wordpad then press ctrl-A to select it all then right click on the highlighted proxies then copy, open the proxy.ini also with wordpad and then paste. Then save. Now the proxy.ini files contains proxies. When you do this be sure to close ares and launch it again so that the changes you did with the proxy.ini file will take effect. After loading the proxies, back to ares, click on the proxy settings button, you should now see the proxies that you have loaded. Check on the delete bad proxies box (find it) so that after verifying, the no-good proxies will automatically be deleted. Press on the verify button to test the proxies for speed and anonymity. After the test, press on the ok button. Back to the main window of ares, login URL is where to put the members URL of the site that you want to test. It looks like http://www.site.com/members.html or http://members.site.com (examples only). It is different for every site. Read on my Cr*cking Tutorial on how to find the members url of a particular site. How about your wordlist? Located below “login URL” is “save as:” then there’s “User” select the combo list. Load your wordlist by clicking on the 3 dots (…) just below the word “digits” (find it, its there). You’re almost ready to start testing, let’s go to attack speed, find “rotate proxies after:” then type 1 (one). In effect it will look like “rotate proxies after 1”, also check on prevent fakes. Back to “attack speed”, to start testing press on the play symbol just below the words “Attack Speed” and then there you go. If ares found a hit or a weak login, it will display it on the Results tab. To view the status click on Error tab just beside the results tab. Now if you found a hit or a weak login, ares stores it in a file called sites.dat which is also located in the Final Ares Complete Edition folder as described in the previous paragraph, the same folder where proxy.ini is located. Open site.dat and there you will see the weak logins. Like what I’ve typed in the Accessdiver Walkthrough, if you don’t get a hit, try other wordlists. If after trying almost all the wordlist in the world and still you don’t get a hit then find another site to test.
