Here is what I do when I want to clear the cache, this should be done least once a week.

W H E R E   T O   G E T   W I N D O W S   C L E A N   U P
If you look in the bottom right corner of my tutorial page you'll see a "2" there is you click 
on this you will start to down load Windows Clean Up.

H O W   T O   D O W N   L O A D   A N D   I N S T A L L
1)	Open a new folder on you desk top called aaa
2)	Down load Windows Clean Up in to the folder called aaa
3)	Double click on the Icon CleanUp20, a self-Extracor will open saying unzip to folder 
        C:\WINDOWS\TEMP change this to C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\aaa then click unzip.
4)	Close the self-Extracor.
5)	Go into the aaa folder and Double click on Setup.
6)	Run set up.
7)	Delete the aaa folder
W I N D O W S   C L E A N   U P   S E T
1)	Find Cleanup the open.
2)	Click on Options.
3)	On the left move the bar down to custom
4)	On the right remove the check from the box marked "Delete favorites Places/bookmarks .
5)	Click ok then click Clean up in the top right corner.
