I did not get to know you very well, there was
not enough time. I know you are feeling better now and
chasing butterflies over the Rainbow Bridge.
This
beautiful calico kitten was hit by a car and brought to
the hospital who contacted me to see if I could foster
her. Although she suffered only minor bruising from the
accident, she tested positive for FeLuk (feline
leukemia). I brought her home and separated her from my
other babies, but she was listless and withdrawn. She
must have known she was not "okay" because she
did not fight very hard. Tiffany passed over the bridge
due to DIC, Disseminated Introvascular Coagulopathy. It
is an illness related to advanced feline leukemia that
causes the blood to thin which results in internal
hemoraging. We did not know at the time that she was
suffering from this illness.
I did not have Tiffany long
enough to take a picture, she was only here for a few
days. But, like all my other furbabies, she will always
have a special place in my heart.
In memory of
Tiffany, May 29, 2000
