I've talked with four to five local music
acts that would be willing to perform. Of these bands,
some are seriously looking at possible major record
label contracts because of their high quality of
music.
It would be a great boost to the musicians if
they knew that they had the backing and support of the
public of Washington, and what better way to have
that, than to perform on one of
the last evenings of the summer.
The Benefits:
This evening would provide a
free atmosphere of music and great, good old-fashioned
fun for the public of Washington.
These musical acts are seriously working at
providing their listeners with a positive atmosphere,
and this will give them the hometown recognition that
they deserve.
This fun time would greatly benefit the citizens
of the city of Washington by giving them a safe
alternative to the typical evening.
Our side activities would include croquet,
singing, dancing, guitar and saxophone playing,
listening to music, playing video games, philosophical
talk, and possibly providing free grilled food and
refreshments (a root beer keg) to those in attendance.
All the response we have received has been
consistently positive.
Please let us continue this, and for this one
July 21st Saturday evening, allow a few promising
young music acts to show off their talent to the
delight of the city of Washington.
This would only benefit the township, and it would
easily bring some much-needed good ole fashioned fun
to our town.
Thank you,
