Tip 05: TYPE ON FIRE !

Step 1:
- Create new RGB document at 72 dpi
- Under Image menu-->mode-->Gray Scale
(note: it must be in grayscale at this point)
- Fill Background with Black
- Make "white" as your foreground color
- Create your type
- Layer menu-->Rasterize-->type

Step 2:
- Under Layer menu-->Duplicate Layer-->change your Destination to New
then click OK (This will duplicate your text layer to a new document
We'll need this layer later in this technique)

Step 3:
- Switch back to your original document.
- Merge your text layer with the background layer by pressing
Control-E.
- under Image menu-->Rotate Canvas-->choose 90degree CW
- Filter menu-->Stylize-->choose Wind. Derection " From the Left"
Click OK
- Press Control-F to run this same filter again (exact same settings).

Step 4:
- under Image menu-->Rotate Canvas-->choose 90 degree CCW.
- Filter menu-->Stylize-->choose Diffuse. Check "Normal" in Mode.
- Click OK

Step 5:
- Filter mennu-->Blur-->Gaussian Blur-->Enter 2 pixels. Click Ok

Step 6:
- Image menu-->Mode-->choose Indexed Color.
- Image menu-->Mode-->choose Color Table. In the Color table dialog
box, choose Black Body in the Table pop-up menu at the top. Click OK
- Image menu-->Mode-->choose RGB.

Step 7:
- Switch to the other document (the duplicate of your text layer)
- Layer menu-->Duplicate layer. When duplicate layer dialog appear,
change your destination to the name of your main document (the one
with the fire). Click Ok (your text layer will appear in exactly the
same place as its was earlier, before the duplication.)

Step 8:
- Press "d" to set your foreground color to Black.
- Press Shift-Alt-Backspace to fill your text with Black.
- Filter menu-->Distort-->Ripple-->Amount = 27. Size choose Large.
