Drawings 11

Now this is a new thing for me to try. I initially drew this in pencil. Then I used watercolor pencils to color it in. Then, using a new photo program, I went in and detail more, smoothing out the wings and background. I think it turned out well. It was influenced by my aim screen name as it deals with storms and a cathern. :)

Here's an inverted color gryphon I did in paint. I thought it looked cooler like this than the original. I did it in simple color pencil. This was just a random doodle.

A drawing for a story dealing with a creature known in the Tailchaser's Song (by Tad Williams) realm as a Boneguard. I did not create this wonderful critter, but this is my interpretation of what it may look like (though not perfect interpretation due to my limitations in drawing ability). The nose is a little too long, but otherwise I'm happy with its general creepyness. They are evil, following the ways of those they deem worthy. This particular one is Set-Akrith (a made up char of mine).

Now in continuation of the same story that I mentioned in the picture above, an evil mage made a pact with the Boneguard that when he gave them solidarity (as before they were pretty much walking skeletons with no ability to go out at day), the Boneguard would in turn serve him. Well he found a way and solidified them. Thus at this point we discover that there are females as well in the group. No doubt kittens would happen, and what should a boneguard kit look like? Well here you go. One cute Boneguard kitten.

Speaking of stories, here's another image that is sparked by events of a story. A different story actually, one that is of a future time frame. A sort of 'what if' story that completely ran away and became its own entity. Here we have two male spirit animals, Romeion the catsi and Kamen the kodiak. This is just a quick sketchie but it certainly captured the general annoying quality of Romeion. He often teases the bear that he's too lazy.

It was brought to my attention that all the catsi I ever drew were female. So I'm here to remedy it. I present to you, a male catsi! (course I drew a male catsi in the previous picture, but I've put them both up at the same time so I can consider this to be true ;)).

Was creative one evening while I should have been studying for finals. So instead of studying I was drawing, and this is what came of it. A sort of realistic cougar piccy! Just kind of messing around with drawing style. Not too bad I think.

A character in an ongoing story about a group that can jump through time and space and are charged with keeping watch of the order of events. This character is Isis, a nine-lifer who returns to life once killed in a different form. This will be her 6th life form. This is drawn with light pencil (my scanner hates those drawings for some reason). I also ran out of room on the paper near the tail, that is why it seems a bit flat on that part.
