An interesting being that's for sure. I've had many opportunities to develop this girl's personality. Dark Shadow (the evil being in a story that is affectionately known as the "second novel") had ordered one of his minions to create a replacement for Darrin using the cathern pattern. He made sure that this new cathern was smarter and stronger than Darrin's creations and prettier too. Thus, Chehali was created. She is the only female cathern, one with two forms. Her first form is that of a cathern, a bit thinner in the body and tail than a normal cathern. This makes her faster both on the ground and in the air. Her human form appears to be that of a 18 year old female. Straight black hair ends just below her shoulders and she has dark colored eyes. Her form is 3 to 4 times stronger than most humans, therefore do not be fooled by her seemingly lithe appearance.
Personality wise, its hard to say as I've worked on her both as the loyal and somewhat unloyal general of Shadow. At first she follows her instinct to obey completely, though something leads her thinking astray. (as for what this something is, it will depend on which story ;) ). Something of interest is that she will call him sir or lord to him or call upon him by Dark Shadow, but will never say his name on the ship otherwise. Generally she calls him master or shadow outside of the ship. The reasoning behind this isn't entirely known. She does however, enjoy messing with other people. Provoking them by words or perhaps actions. Humans are a favorite target since they are so easily targeted and frightened.
This is Chehali's weapon, what I'm going to be calling a lance. The 'clawed' end can open and close by a twisting motion in the upper portion of the staff. Each of the four thin parts are blades with very fine edges on the inside. This end has a reflecting capability in that it can reflect magic coming at her. The opposite end is pretty much self explanitory.
