Architects South has completed several religious related facilities over the past years and are presently in the design phase of two additional religious developments in the Madison and Vicksburg Mississippi areas.

Past Religious projects include the following:

1. Additions and Renovations to Morrison Heights Baptist Church which included classroom space and athletic full court gymnasium, Clinton, Mississippi, completed in 1979.

2. Broadmeadow United Methodist Church Family Life Center which provided child care, classroom, and full court basketball activities, Jackson, Mississippi. Project completed in 1980.

3. Alta Woods Baptist Church Elevator installation and minor renovations, Jackson, Mississippi. Project completed in 1990.

4. Renovations and Alterations to the First Baptist Church, Picayune, Mississippi. The interior sanctuary renovation was completed in 1998.

5. Renovations and Alterations to the First Baptist Church of Edwards, Mississippi. Work completed in 1996.

Broadmeadow United Methodist Church Family Life Center
The free standing Family Life Center provided child care areas, small kitchen, classroom and recreational area, and a full size basketball court. The building materials were face brick with concrete backup block, typically with some decorative steel columns at the front of the building. Interior walls were constructed if gypsum board and wood stud walls.

Morrison Heights Baptists Church, Clinton, MS
The new Family Life Center provided additional classrooms and multipurpose gymnasium and was completed in 1980. Construction cost was approximately $450,000. The free-standing structure provided brick exterior which matched the existing church facility.

First Presbyterian Church Classroom Addition, Jackson, MS
The 3 level classroom addition wrapped around two sides of the churches existing gymnasium. The facility provided additional space for the First Presbyterian Church Day School during the week provided Sunday School classroom space as well. The 3.2 million dollar facility was completed in 1997.
