by William Armstrong
He took a stand against tyranny
Even though he might not be involved.
He helped the poor and downtrodden
With amazing agility and resolve.
To protect his family and friends,
He did it under cover of the night,
Moved silently through the shadows,
In the darkness he was a beacon of light.
He decided to take on an alter ego,
Pretend to be a man of books and poems,
Let everyone think he was not a threat,
To protect people's land and their homes.
Those who tried to stand up against him,
Drew their blades to put him to the test,
But when all the smoke had settled,
He stood tall above all the rest.
His legend continues to grow strong,
His name is spoken to this very day,
Children want to be just like him,
Follow in his footsteps in some way.
He was a hero filled with courage,
Carrying a sword forged with steel,
He only fought back when he had to,
In order to make the evildoers yield.
