It has been 45 years long,
Since we first saw the sword,
Cut the air with the sign of the Z
Its swishing sound in the television set.
The Black cloaked and masked stranger
Stood tall and strong there.
His eyes shined and sparkling
And his smile uplifted and sincere.
His name became a battle cry
For the little ones to scream,
His strong sword became a symbol
Of their imaginable ones.
The song became so familiar,
Even into the minds of parents,
His name echoing the song,
Zorro, Zorro, Zorro, Zorro......
Again, Guy Williams was the actor
Who played the famous Zorro,
The "real" Zorro, again and again
People have said, even now.
Even as the show was gone,
After the two years it was shown,
It has not gone completely
Because of the legend.
Knowing that Guy has been gone
From the earth thirteen years
His family and fans, worldwide
Continuing to fight for his legacy.
Disney may have taken
The beloved show off the air,
Thinking no one would notice,
But how terribly wrong they were.
They have wronged the fans,
The children and the older folks
Who saw the show when it first aired.
And remembered the legacy of Guy.
If Disney people wants a fight,
Then a fight, they will get.
From the fans all over the world,
And his family and friends as well.
And when people smiled and said,
His name, Guy Williams, once again.
Then it was true as we, his fans, knew
The legend was still his and his alone.
