Fuck The Industry

Tech N9ne has decided it is time to change the music industry. As any Tech fan knows, the industry has not been kind to Tech. There is a strong feeling that because the Anghellic album was not put out by a major record label, it was given limited radio and video airplay.

A big controversy in today's music world is file sharing. The reality is that file sharing has given the fans an opportunity to sample the music before spending their money on a record that as a whole may or may not be good. The industry complains about this becuase no longer can they put out half-assed records and get the public to buy them.

Tech N9ne believes that his album "Absolute Power" is such a good album that he is going to put the entire album on his website for the fans to download. In turn if a fan likes the album he/she may be inclined to buy it.

Since Tech has gotten so little radio and video play, he is starting a movement called F.T.I. (Fuck The Industry). This purpose of this movement is to make more people aware of Tech N9ne and his music and stick it to the industry at the same time.

To put their money where their mouth is; Tech, M.S.C., and Strange have decided to take their radio and video budget and spend it on a television campaign that will launch the F.T.I. movement. They will run their commercial on several cable stations and national networks.

The success of this movement depends on us the fans helping them. Go to chat rooms, tell your friends, tell them to tell their friends, join the e-street team. Real fans support real artists so speak up and be heard. Spread the word.
