J-Dogg-4-Lif’ "2K1" May 2001
12th Street:
1. 2K1: (Intro)/ It’s Official
This was a Introduction, where I explain where I been at before making this album. I explain the Two sides to this album, 12th Street & Eastside.
12th Street is where I lived at for 12 years, and
Eastside is where I Lived at right now, East Side San Jose.
Anyways, I spit a Flow at the End of this track because This was Official!
2. Microphone Check ‘99
This Joint right here, I made in 1999. This is the second version. I made the first version in 1998. I just say whatever in this joint. I was just checking my mic on this track.
3. Worldwide
On this Track I also made in 1999, I explain how some hatas out there think they're the shit. I don't like none of that shit. They gotta get their mind right, ya know!
"Worldwide, Worldwide/ When Ever Beef is Started/ Get Your Mind Right Here/ When My Dogs start Barking"
4. Stop Frontin’
I just hate the way Ma'Fuckas front. That's what this song is about
"Stop Frontin'/ Ain't Saying Nothin'/ J-Dogg will drop it One More Time Yall"
This first appeared on my 6th album, "J-Dogg-4-Lif'" (Aug. 1998).
5. Hard Times
I wanted to make a Serious Track, where I explain to the people what I been through in my life, like My Parents devorced in 1998.
"Seems Like I'm Burning in Hell/ Livin' in A Jail Cell/ Livin' My Life so Hard/ Tryin' to Get Out of it/ Shit is The Wrost Livin' it/ So Everything Seems like Mutha Fuckin Bullshit"
This first appeared on my 7th album, "J-Dogg" (Sept. 1999).
6. Tyme 2 Shine
This Right Here was a Comeback Joint where I'm just saying whatever. The Second Verse on this song is one of my famous verses I wrote back in 1997.
"When I Spit A Rhyme/ Make Sure It's Right/ Think sometimes If I Ruled The World/ I Make It Shine/ In Your Mind/ You Think I'm Fine/ Like My Man, Letherface/ The Man with The Biggest Case/ Pushing Weights, Everyday/ Pump It Up Like J/ Spray Mase In Your Fucken Face/ I Said It Before/ I Say It Again/ J-Dogg will drop this Shit."
This first appeared on my 5th album, "Dah Afta World, 3000 Party A.D." (Oct. 1997).
7. Bootleg (Skit) (Feat. Big John)
This is one of those funny skits. My Dog, Big John did the voice of a Jamaican. He's sopose to be a seller (bootleger) of my new album, And the buyer wanted a lower price, so he went & bought it.
8. Represent
This was one of my biggest joint off my “2K1” album. It was my 6th single. The B-side joint was “Do It...”- It was too Xplicit-Joint may appear on my upcoming release “Jointz, B-Sides, and Underground”-it may drop on the same day as “T.C.O.B.1” album.
9. Where’s My Hood At? (Ten-Thirty South Twelveth Street)
On this track, It's me twice talking, Me & My other Character talk about what has happen bad in my old 'Hood.
East Side:
10. 2K1: Long Time Comin’ (Intro)
I explain how the next side is, Eastside. and also I say that This album took me 2 years to make. and also explain why the album has been delayed.
11. 2K1 (Tha Anthem)
On this track, I just wanted to make a Ghetto Anthem for the year 2001. I originally did this track during Summer 2000.
12. Half Man, Half Dog
This one was one of my biggest joints. I’m a Man, And a Dog. I have 2 different sides of me. This is my 5th single for the album “2K1”-which sold over 600 copies.
13. Get Money
it's one of those joints where I say to Get That Money wherever you want. I know people love Money, but one thing, you could get money by 'Getting A Job'.
14. What If I Don’t
This track, I talk about a story, where this Ma'Fucka tried to kill me when I kicked the bottle to his crib. And Ma'Fucka said to pick all that shit up, and I said, 'What If I Don't', and he got pissed off.
"What If I Don't Do It/ What If I Don't/ What The Fuck, Ma'Fucka/ I Ain't Rolling Like That"
So this was one of those stories that happen but got twisted, which means it really happen to one of my peoples.
15. Beef (Yall Wanna Battle)
This is one those songs which you have to dis a person when they talk shit. This was a dis track to someone who I had Beef with at Skool during my freshmen year. Fool didn't like me for no reason. So when the album was release, I needed to edited because, I didn't had Beef no more in May 2001. So Now Everythings okay.
16. Bring it On
Joint right here, I just spit whatever. This was origially a freestyle I did in 2000. I re-did it months after & made this track.
17. 2K1 (Outro)
I give shouts outs to my family, my peeps, and my 'hoods.
18. Live-N-Dyrect (Snippet)(*Bonus Track*)
I gave yall a Snippet of my first single for the album that came after this one, "Live-N-Dyrect" (Dec. 2001).
Note: I first wrote this song as a skool project, And my Teacher liked My Rhyme, So I decided to record the track & made it Hot!
19. Half Man, Half Dog (Oochie Wally 2000 Remix)(Bonus Track*)
This was the first version I made for 'Half Man, Half Dog' back in September 2000, before The Oochie Wally' became a Hit in 2001. I had a Promo version of the track. When my album got released in May 2001, 'Oochie Wally' was already a hit, and when people heard my album, that was the main shit they heard, some complain, and others didn't. So After, I decided to make a underground album later that year & used any sample I wanted to used.
20. Do It...(*Hidden/Bonus Track*)
This track was a hidden track for this album. It only appeared on the first copies that were made in May 2001. Then I pulled off the Track because I thought the track was too xplicted for the album.
