HISTORY
Jordan
and Camille were first known as "The Powerpuff Girls", thanks
to a mix I made for them for a dance competition they were in back in the
early part of 2000. Along with fellow Stage One Dance Studio member Nicole,
the three of them won the silver and then the gold, and I received two judges
awards for my choreography. Realizing their potential, I asked Jords and
Cam if they would like to be a dance group. In doing so, I asked them to
find at least 4 others who would be down to dance. The end result is finding
Jaleel, whom they danced with previously at Stage One, and Janine, whom
Cam knew from YFC.
Jaleel
and Janine soon rounded out the group. The four of them started performing
alongside FUSION at occassions such as my cousin's b-day party, a cotillion,
and a rally at St. Patrick's-St. Vincent's in Vallejo. When the group performed
at Jesse Bethel's Kamikaze Night, the group got its recognition as being
a dance group in the Filipino community. Performing alongside FUSION, this
was their first exposure to being in a showcase with the likes of One Vo1ce,
April, and our favorite dance group in the Bay, Mindtricks.
