OpenSource MC's
The Originators
Mics. Rhymes. Soul. Music. Love. We here
at Open Source throw these words
around alot. We've all come a long
way, yet still find ourselves using
the same words over and over
again. We love soul music,
and we create our own
unique soul music
with the rhymes
and mics that we
love. Beats.
Another
frequently
used word
among us.
Beats, beats
and more
beats.
Fast, hectic
beats.
Chill, slow
beats.
Groovy
beats,
mellow
beats...
I could
go on
and on.
We are
inspired
so
intensely
by so
many
different
genres of
music. Jazz,
Gansta rap,
country blues,
straight funk,
so-called
"conscious" rap,
television and
movie themes,
classic rock,
just to name a few
of the more popular styles
of sounds. Music has become
a way to live, a place to go, a
voice to express the way we feel
and view our world and ourselves.
And yall mothafucka's thought we simply
made songs. But it's yall, the people we
will probably never meet, who keep us working.
Because the idea of open source anything is an
idea of sharing...passing it along. In our case we chose
to share love, soul music driven by beats, rhymes, and mics.
And if you were not out there listening to the many different beats
we speak over, it would be like talking to ourselves. Hell naw, yall, we wanna talk to you. So, in that case...We are the Open Source MC's everybody. Nice to meet you. Let's get to know eachother.
