I know everyone saw fab on 106 @ park. looking oh so fine in his scooby
doo.
he was very poised and loose. fab has really come a long way from his
very
first interview. he talked about testing his acting skills. not only is
the
man making music but he's receiving scripts for movies too. all i can
say
is keep doing your thang. we all know fab aint going nowhere. if your
album
was released on such a day and still manage to debut at #4, even with
jigga
coming out on the same day, then i think the sky is the limit. i think
he
says it better to all the hatas, in right now and later on: right now
you
dont like me, later on you gonna hate me, and i just got to do it, fuck
yall

MTV: I'm sure you've heard this a couple times, but a lot of people have been making comparisons between you and Mase. What's your reaction to that?
Fabolous: When I first heard it I was like, "Well, everyone gets a comparison." It was OK, 'cause Mase was doing his thing at the time. Then I did a song with him, and I was like, "'A'ight, there's a voice similarity." People were saying, "Y'all kind of flow the same way." I knew that after people heard me they'd be able to separate the two. When you first hear somebody, you're like, "Who's that? He sounds like ... " But once you keep hearing them, then that becomes their identity. As long as people can distinguish, I don't care about the comparison. I take it as a compliment.
MTV: What do you listen to? What's in your deck?
Fabolous: I'm feeling Jadakiss. I listen to Jay-Z, Nelly. You've got to listen to everything from a different angle. I listen to a street [record], then I listen to a pop [record] to keep it all in perspective. Some people might listen to strictly street songs, and it just keeps them street. Then they come with the grimiest video and they wonder why it's not on MTV, or why it can only make BET at three in the morning. I listen to all different types of rap. I might be on a lot of R&B remixes, but I don't listen to R&B that much. I'm a real hip-hop head..
