this is by snapshot How To HeadSpin: Step 1.) you must learn how to balance in a headstand position for a fairly LONG amount of time..if you dont know what a headstand is..i will explain how to get into one...first..get on all fours (on your knees and hands)..then..set your head on the ground..you should be on the TOP of your head..not your forhead or anything like that..then..put your hands beside your head..so that they are bent in a 90 degree angle at the elbow...then..you should kick one leg up...then the other...to get yourself verticaly upright...now..dont think that you can get this right away..it takes practice..train yourself by going into tri-pod position (knees resting on elbows)..that should give you a general idea of how much weight will be on your head....now once you have a head stand down..your ready for step 2 step 2.)now..you should be able to hold a headstand down for about as long as you want..now remember another thing..you should also be able to headstand without it hurting your neck what so ever..so you first have to get used to the feel..and let your neck get stronger before attemping any spin action..once you have that down..try to do a head stand....but this time...let go of the ground with your hands.....you should ONLY be on your head at this point..it may seem kind of crazy..but its not as dangerous as it seems...just try..just try to let go realy fast then put your hands back down fast..just to let yourself know that it isnt that dangerous..then..try to hold a headstand without your hands for about2-4 seconds..keep your back straight for better balance....and try to flex yur back and abdomenal muscle for balance also...now once you have this your read for step 3 step 3.)ok...now that you can hold yurself in a headstand for about 2-4 seconds without using your hands...your ready to train yourself for the spin..this is what you do..you tape yourself around by "walking" with your hands in a slow motion making yourself spin a bit...this with train your back muscles and your neck and basically just get you ready for the real spin..there is not much detail to this part but just "walking" in a circle in the headstand position....try to get this untill you can get as many spins as you want with some decent speed..once you have that...your ready for step 4!!!...hardest part step 4.)ok...now...your ready for the spin...remember..KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT!....ok...get into hand stand position....split your legs..it depends which way your going..if your going CW your put your right and your left back....if your going CCW....you do it teh other way around..your left infront and your right in back...now....remember.....dont KICK.....WHIP....whip them in one circular motion...but not TOO much......then let go of your hands so that you can allow yourself to spin...once you can do that and get about 3 spins....its time to learn how to tap...tapping isnt very difficult in my opinion....this is what you do.....about every 2-3 spins...you tap..by doing this..you twist your hips the opposite way your lower body is going (BUT NOT TOO MUCH..u just want to get some torque)...then you quikly un-wind your legs..and WHIP them again..do this Repeatively untill you think you have enough speed for a gooood solid spin...when you think you are losing some speed....there is no need 2 tap again...just put legs closer together...or just bend them at the knees...you GO FASTER..its all in physics...and no...what other guides say is NOT TRUE..there is no certain way you should have your legs in a headspin...you can have them ANYway...aslong and you can get a good spin and maintain it...it look awsome and PHAT...when you have a headspin down...try to make your arms and legs in a weird position to add some spice and style to it..be creative....and remember......dont just fall on yur back when your done....end it with a nice pose..... Common injuries while learning these: Neck aches....bruised toes (from making them hip the ground when messing up)...bruised hip (from falling when loosing balance)...head burns (from the spinning OBVIOUSLY)..and thats all i could think of TIPS: Flex your body muscles for BETTER control when spinning fast look straight at ALL times (trust me..this works) Find your "SWEET SPOT" on your head to spin on...basically what this means is that there is no CERTAIN place where u spin on..just find a comfortable spot on your head where you feel like your in control Practice headstands without hands every night/day and remember.....DONT KICK!.......WHIP! WHIP! WHIP!
