A Dream into Reality

God gave a vision for a prophetic dance to Deborah Barbour in May of 2004. The vision called for at least five men dancers and sixteen women dancers. The first practice began with three women praying and seeking the Lord. The song “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble”, was choreographed by Moani Sitch, and they began practicing in faith that the Lord would add the people and fulfill his means the portion for the needy. The beginning of ministry for the group was at the first Lau Lima Ministries International Conference in Honolulu in November of 2004. The Lord fulfilled His vision that night with 6 men and 29 women and children from 7 churches, dancing to the song “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?” The name for the dance company comes from the chorus of that song: dancers who dance upon injustice. Tsedhaqah is Hebrew for justice or righteousness. Literally, it means the portion for the needy. Since that day, the team has added hip-hop, jazz, sign, and Native American dance to their presentation. They have performed at malls and various churches. The team is planning a trip to Japan for summer 2006, where the love and passion for Jesus and the gift of dance will fill the streets with a wave of compassion and power.
