Missions

One percent of Japan’s population is Christian. For centuries western culture has been invading their culture, religion, and country as a whole. Many Japanese reject the Christian religion before they even know what it’s about. They feel like it is one more piece of their uniqueness that the westerners are taking away. As Children of God we know that he does not judge us by our race, culture, gender, or way of life, and we want them to know the same. We want to breakthrough the barriers of contentment and the walls of Christianity as a ‘western religion’, and bring Jesus to the streets of Japan as One who desires a life changing personal relationship with everyone. Dance has been a part of Japanese Culture since the first people went to the Japanese Islands. Like all dance, their dance tells of stories and are a part of community rituals. The goal of our team is to restore dance back to the church and community, which means restoring Japanese dance back to Japanese community in a way that glorifies God.
