Da Eminem Dilemma... You Can't Dodge NDAMIXX Forever

The last CD I spent a twizzy on was Biggie's AKA Notorious B.I.G. "Life After Death". Before dat my last purchase had been Tupac's AKA MAKAVELI "the don killuminati". Don't get me wrong. I LOVE HIP HOP. I LOVE RAP MUSIC. I just don't buy da shiznit that is Hip Hop today.

I grew up on Hip Hop; watched many a white MC try to get in this game and fail. So how has his whiteness Eminem AKA Marshall Mathers gotten this far? First off, I'll give 'im his due props. Eminem is a tight Lyricist and a blazin' azz MC or in NDAMIXX lingo a MC2 (EM CEE SQUARED)*
(*See: TOP TWIZZY).

My dilemma wit his whiteness is really how he is perceived by both the straight (non-Hip Hop) media and the Hip Hop media establishment, "XXL", "The Source", "Rap Pages", and all the other paper wasting label azz kissing monthly publications; with how he is perceived by you the Hip Hop fanz and buyers.

First who da phuck is eminem? When did you first hear of eminem? I didn't hear shiznit about 'im until he hooked up wit Dr. Dre. (Which was a nice azz move on Dre's part dat probably saved his label, Aftermath, from certain Damn Dre fell off status. (Yeah dat wuz close, Huh Dre? I'll holla.)) It also gave eminem instant street credibility. Da first for any White Hip Hop artist. Just ask Vanilla Ice or Everlast or dem Third Base cats? Just how nda hell was eminem able to crossover to the main stream (Black) Urban community? Gain our trust? Reap our hard earned Hip Hop buying dollars where other white MCs failed?

The simple answer is da boy has skillz, selling 1.7 million LPs da first week and over 8 million in total sales. But is eminem's mic skillz better than da late Tupac's, (who even in death outshines many living mic holders) or Biggie's, who some claim was da greatest of all time (Let's see 3 albums, the last one bullshit, versus Makavelli Bootleg Number...? and counting? Enuff said. LL, u ain't even close!!) No on both accounts. So why does eminem get EMTV day on MTV? Why does he grace the cover of "Rollingstone". How da hell did he sell 8 million plus copies of "The Marshall Mathers LP", while spitting lyrics no different from other Hip Hop arist, who just happen to be black?

The simple answer is da boy is WHITE. What!? You haven't heard? It's true. So where's Tipper Gore, Ed Bennett or that Black chick, C. Delores Tucker, that claimed Tupac's lyrics caused her emotional distress and prevented her and hubby from getting their freak on? Not that I want to see them three again. Trust me I don't. I am sure he has protesters. I was just wondering why they were so quiet now. Eminem is a perfect example of how Da Man gets over on us. The great White machine kicked into overdrive and "The Great White Hype" was thrusted upon the Hip Hop masses.

How could we, The True Hip Hop Headz, phuck up and pull a reverse sellout, by allowing this white guy from Motown into our inner sanctum of mixxtapes, boomboxes and tags aka whips? Is this the coming of the end? If labels can now successfully sell White Hip Hop acts to White and Urban consumers, with numbers like eminem's will they still have a need for Black Hip Hop artist? Yes, you say, always! We'll see about dat. Don't get me wrong. I'm feelin' eminem's shiznit. I just didn't buy it. So I say Phuck Eminem. I'll continue to listen to Tupac's and Biggie's "last" CDs with my girlfriend by my side.
